If you're like me, you woke up this morning to more heart wrenching news. Apparently another shooter, this time in Vegas, killed fifty and injured hundreds at a concert.
If you're like me, you're having a hard time with this. I hate that every time I hear the news nowadays it seems like there's yet another story of senseless violence and selfish hate ruining lives and robbing the rest of us of our feeling of security. It just feels so overwhelming. If it's not some shooting or bombing, it's a hurricane or an earthquake. Honestly, it's hard not to start feeling numb to it all.
If your like me, when you heard about the shooting in Vegas, some of your thoughts might have been, "What is happening to our freedom? Are we not even safe to go outside anymore? How can we live in a world that seems to be getting darker and darker by the minute?" Questions like that have been weighing on my mind for a while now; this morning's news has brought them to the forefront.
If you're like me, then you're not going to let this break your spirit and you're not going to let it crush your hope. My hope is that humanity will overcome hate through love, that it will overcome darkness with light. My heart is with all those hurting today! #PrayForVegas
