#WEMAJOR - (Link In Bio) - Meet our #2nd panelist for The We Major Event: Crystal Caines (@crystalcaines_ )can only be described using one word - artist. The rapper, singer, producer and engineer has worked for almost a decade to establish her identity and sound in an industry that usually sticks to the status quo. Effortlessly merging her talents created a unique package that the industry has not only embraced but has also proven to be what is missing. Drawing from influences of her Harlem and Guyanese background, Crystal Caines has been able to create a sound that is all her own. Her infectious lyrics captivate audiences in the same way that Hip Hop is able to draw people from all over the world who want to be a part of its allure.
With the release of her debut single, Whiteline featuring A$AP Ferg, Crystal Caines is poised to make her mark in the industry. The lyrics, the composition and the ingenuity that have developed over the course of her lifetime can be felt in each bar that Crystal Caines delivers. Her talents are celebrated by many and have already been etched into the culture that birthed her musical form as evidenced with her collaboration credits on tracks that include Nick Jonas, MIA, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Baauer, Souldiggaz, Smoke Dza, Nottz, and many more. #dearblackgirlpod

Meet our #1st panelist for The We Major Event: Chanel Auguste (@hiphopluvchild) has had a career in music and entertainment spanning over 15 years, working across many verticals including radio and video promotion, music licensing, sports marketing and brand partnerships. What started as a desire to simply support her talented friends at LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts, turned into a life-long pursuit when she landed her first internship at ASCAP at the tender age of fourteen; the experiences there and future internships confirmed for Chanel that the music industry was where she wanted to put her focus and energy.
Chanel has had the amazing opportunity to work at Sony Music Entertainment and So So Def Records during her time at Clark Atlanta University and later went on to work with companies like Warner Music, Live Nation, 740 Project and more. In her current role as International Marketing Manager at Sony Music, she oversees global marketing strategies for Epic Records artists including Camila Cabello, French Montana, and Yo Gotti, just to name a few.
Chanel is continuously inspired and excited by the ever-changing landscape of the music and media business. A globetrotter at heart, she's also the Executive Producer and Director of a documentary about Hip Hop's influence and impact on other countries, set to be released in 2019.
