With #worldmentalhealthday and #nationalcomingoutday one after the other this is my little love note to people struggling with their mental health and their gender/sexuality :
Don’t confuse puddles for oceans. some people have no more depth than a than a pocket of rock on a hollowed sidewalk. Muddy and short. Others are shimmering. infinite, mysterious, and old. just because you find yourself, reflecting on their surface, doesn’t mean they have the moon behind them.
they do not sway with the tides, they do not wash away sins, they don’t have the memory of the day the earth was born, they are shallow. and temporary.
Don’t lose yourself in puddles they always go dry.
; don't have the energy to talk about my issues and have had a hella draining physical and mental week I guess all I'm saying is I love you and you are valid #poetry#survivors#actuallyborderline#pansexual#hugsandlaughter#staysafefriends#queerhavingapanicattack
