@kimberlymjenkins, part-time lecturer at Parsons School of Design, will moderate a panel discussion with change makers of color in fashion: @elainewelteroth, editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue; @aurorajames, designer and founder of Brother Vellies;
This event will identify the fashion system’s problematic social and systemic dimensions, deepening our understanding of the pervasive issues and pointing to ways to address them. Topics to be explored in this solutions-based discussion include cultural appropriation and cultural sensitivity and what fashion makes possible in a tense political climate.
