Collab with @tattoosbyemil4 He did the lettering and handeled the torch. I burned the scarab beatle and painted the gold and splashes! Go check him out! The liquid used to make the black lettering is from the scorch marker @scorchmarker The video is speed up x2 Want more videos or just progress photos in the future?
Some of my favorite creations this month of october. Has been fun to challenge myself for all the different prompts for #burntoctober I can honestly say this has made me a better artist. It's good to get out of your comfort zone once in a while. If you look through my feed from before october 95% has been animals. I am very pleased with how these little experiments turned out. Thanks again Rachel for putting this all together!❤ Follow her @woodburncorner & @walnuthollow Hope you put together another set of prompts in the beginning of next year!😘✌ What was your favorit prompt (for those who contributed) and which of these 8 do you like best?
Anyone else getting hungry for some bananas looking at this?🍌🤤 Was gonna have this one done for #burntoctober colour day, but hand tattoos is no joke. Felt like my hand was on fire the first week😅 Now for the last prompt of burntoctober Mixed media. For this one I used white paint as always but also yellow watercolours. Might do more like this in the future. Do you like this or does the colour ruin it? Be honest.
Want to thank @woodburncorner & @walnuthollow for hosting all the 16 prompts. Favorite of all where Technology. Hated it at first though, couldn't come up with anything that felt me. But I'm glad I challenged myself and pushed through on that one. Can't wait for next burnt month, I know it will be even grander than this one, see you then!✌ The painting with the lettering in the background is by my friend @tattoosbyemil4 first and only painting I bought from any artist! Go check out his work!
Been reworking this multiple times over when I have evolved my style and artistic eye over the last 1,5 years. Swipe to see older versions of this. Was so pleased with the one furthest to the right.(image 4) Thought I would never get better results than that. Then I reworked it a few months later and thought that was the best it could look (image 3) got really sick from working on that since I had Varnish on it which get super toxic when heated. Don't recommend doing that. Though I been doing that alot since I'm crazy and my pieces means so much to me.🤮🤪 When doing it nowadays I do it outdoors with mask and with slightly windy weather. This latest one I did in August. If you look close all have equally many details but the drpth getts better and better in the later ones. Also it looks more like an orange tiger with stripes and some white fur. The older ones are far lighter where they should have darker hide.
Thought I would upload this now on detail day for #burntoctober Since it has changed so since the last time I posted it.
Old but gold! It's been altered quite a bit since I uploaded it before though. Thought he and especially the background was to pale so torched it but also added extra white here and there. But most importantly I got it framed!!! Looked around for quite some time before I found the right match. Bought the frame at @arti.zenhuddinge (Huddinge centrum i stockholm) Om du bor i Stockholm och vill se denna samt 8 andra av mina verk så finns dem på @skogshem_wijk i Lidingö. De finns i kafeterian intill receptionen.
Zoom in to check out the details and swipe for more photos.
Today is another #burntoctober prompt. Sadly been skipping the most recent ones since my tattoo has had to heal. Not been painting since the 16th. Still have some medium to small surface wounds. But the hand is sensitive like that, much different from arm tattoos. Anyhow prompt for today is try something new. Used The scorch marker again but removed the liquid and used a brush for this. Was never ment to be a painting when I started, only tested out some thick and thin lines plus splashes. Since me and @tattoosbyemil4 are gonna attempt a few collaborations and he's script paintings and tattoos are godly! So looking forward to that.
The video is speed up x4 I am not concider done with this, gonna do some more details and probably ad white paint. both on skull and as chaotic strokes and splashes like the burnt stuff.
Swipe fore more pics! Just got this razertip pyrography pen tattoo done this Tuesday. Sorry dad!😅😬 @avtonomovtattoo Was guest spotting at @kontrast.inkgallery this week and had an open spot. He is out of this world good at colour tattoos go check him out!
Anyway today it's the about me prompt for #burntoctober! If my craft don't show my dedication my tattoo surly does! Since I found out about pyrography it has become my all. Been thinking about getting my burning hand tattooed for a while with my tool or something of the like. Never seen any previous to this tho, have you?
So actually about me now. My name is Jimmy, I live in Stocholm Sweden and I have been burning since dec 2016. besides from selling my art I work weekends in a grocery store. My other passions would be Veganism, health, tattoos and being a screen junky. In the future I will work it out so I can learn tattooing and eventually work both as a tattoo artist and pyrography artist. My art style. I am not a conventional pyrographer. Ever since I started even long before I saw any others do it I started using flames and heat guns yo make my art. More recently I started using white paint and since then I always use it. And most recently I started testing out the scorch marker. If I find away to make my art more beautiful (in my eyes) I will use it. It is quite unexplored territory being a mixed media pyrographer. Since so few does it and everyone does it so differently. Hope to see more join in as this pyrography community and movement grows!
Would you tattoo your tool somewhere on your body?
Editet the video to make it slightly shorter for all of you with ADD like me!🤪 Look at my last post for high quality photos and a description of how I made it. @scorchmarker is a pen with a liquid substance that burns the wood at a lower temperature enabling you to make burnings without a woodburner. Only need a heat source. Owen, blowtorch, open fire or heat gun would work.
For this one I only used the scorch marker, a white pen and red watercolour.
