It’s the weekend and we’ve got whiskey on the mind... specifically High West Distillery bourbon. ↟ ↟ ↟
Our Bourbon Barrel Aged Bar uses cacao that’s been aged for 3 months in High West Bourbon barrels, giving this chocolate an oaky, smokey finish. While there are definite whiskey notes to this bar it’s not a whiskey flavored bar—instead the softer flavors produce one of our best and most distinctive bars.
We love getting mail, even more so when it’s a curated box of chocolates. The Ritual Chocolate Club combines different chocolate bars each month along with a selection from our various chocolate treats (farmhouse chocolate granola, cacao nibs, chocolate almond spread) and merchandise. You’ll get the first of our limited edition bars, merchandise, and an info sheet about each bar. Each month you’ll get a new selection, but always receive $60 worth of product for $50.

The current August box features our Farmhouse Granola along with some of our best bars—the Bourbon Barrel Aged, Fleur de Sel, Mid Mountain, and Madagascar.
Our Iron Horse factory/cafe regularly smells like roasting cacao—each of our origins bringing out different flavor notes and subtle differences in color, textures, and smells. We pride ourselves on sustainable, ethical cacao sourcing to bring out the best in our chocolates and the best in our earth.
Our featured chocolate of the month is our Ecuador 75% cacao bar. The Camino Verde origin uses unique fermentation techniques and careful sourcing to create this rich, flavorful bar. Starting the morning off right with our farmhouse chocolate granola—not too sweet, just the right balance of our Mid Mountain dark chocolate, oats, walnuts, almonds, cacao nibs, and a touch of honey. Inspired by @ritual.anna ‘s time on her family farm in England, this granola is hearty yet delicious. Pairs well with berries, over yogurt, or in the cold months with warm milk.

On roasting days you can smell the rich chocolately aromas of the cacao throughout our cafe. Our roasting process uses a light roast to retain as much of the inherit flavor from our high quality beans. Roasting evaporates moisture and acid, loosens the shell, and brings out the chocolate quality in the beans.
