PHASE II - CHINA

From Guangzhou to Shenzhen to Sanya to Haikou... China has shown me A LOT!!!! Not only with culture and good food... but my PATIENCE was tried a lot to be honest lol. Definitely 2 key things I've learned from this trip alone both about myself: 1. Even if/when my intentions mean well (or not), my actions will still be the deciding factor in terms of how those around me are affected in addition to how comfortable I am in any given situation. Not being able to speak nor communicate with anyone made me sooooo much more aware of my surroundings. 2. Everything, everywhere, is just as bad/good... perception is really reality. Never before did I feel so out of place in a situation, yet when I stopped to think about it... the continuous looks I was getting was no different than those I get in America in places I'm not "privileged" enough to belong. I gained more appreciation and drive to make HOME a better place.

NONE of this trip would have been possible nor the lessons that we BOTH gained would have happened without my assistant, friend, and second company member @minizdancer! The one person who tried her best to make me feel the most comfortable in some situations that were out of both of our control. We both learned a lot about ourselves and the growth only made us stronger and to get to know each other that much better. THANK YOU so much for being by my side through the amazing classes and connections I've made in this trip (thanks to you), and also through the #goodluck situations where my patience was continuously tested lol. We only go UP from this point and I'm glad to have you along for the ride! #xiexie and I'm excited for what's to come!!!
