It's Wedding day Saturday! My mornings always start with a cup of coffee because that's the best way to guarantee productive brain activity.
Absolutely in LOVE with this table scape I came across on pinterest!!
Happy Birthday, Canada!! Thanks for letting me love who I love and for the universal healthcare. //
A little glamour
With a little wine you're my tiny dancer
You're the calm
You're the steel
When my mind starts spinning those wheels//
cred to the SUPER talented @barbara_rahal
When the going gets tough, I like to remind myself of this.
So here's the thing about tonight's wedding...
Earlier this month, I married my best friend in a tiny, intimate, ceremony held in our friends backyard. The day was hectic, we were late, there was a small tornado during our ceremony, and a cell phone was answered during the ceremony. Yes, I was outraged too. //
Through it all, two people were with us the whole time, keeping my nerves calm, and documenting our most precious moments.//
I want to take a moment and thank the lovely husband and wife team, Matt and Maja, behind @m2sweddings. Not only were they a super calm presence who helped me keep it together, they captured our day absolutely perfectly, were extremely understanding of our shifting schedule, worked with the weather and the mosquitos, and returned our photos so quickly that we are beyond impressed. //
I cannot stress enough how important it is to have good vendors around you through your day. People who will be in your corner, who will help your nerves, and people who will make your memories funny and precious. Pick them wisely, because you don't get a redo!
The Wedding Podcast Episode 2, featuring Brittany Dakins//
Shortly after moving to Edmonton from Toronto, Brittany was gifted a watercolour class at the paint spot. This class truly reinvigorated her love for the arts and lead to years of practice along with an ever growing (and overflowing!) collection of supplies. She loves getting custom orders and collecting vintage atlases to letter travel-inspired décor. You'll find her hosting workshops, selling at markets throughout the city, hanging out in downtown Edmonton and spending weekends in her favourite place + ultimate inspiration for Peak Paper Co: The Canadian Rockies.//
