Magical-Barbie-Mermaid-Unicorn-Cotton Candy hair. .
.
I broke ALL the rules with this hair!!! I mixed 4 different direct dye lines, threw in some conditioner, applied to WET hair AND I rinsed in warm water. **Learn the rules like a professional to break them like an artist 👩🎨 .
.
Why did I do these things?!?! Because I can. Actually, there’s answers for all these questions. Let’s tackle them. .
.
*Mixing direct dye lines is perfectly ok...IF you’re familiar with them (ie dye load, fadeage, what tonality they fade to etc). *I added @trionicshaircare Enzyme Cocktail to my colors to make them less intense (her base color when initially mixed was too red so I “pastelized” it with conditioner to make a pink). *WHY on wet hair?!? To make the effect less intense. I wanted the colors to be bold but not too bold, so by applying to wet hair, the water molecules take up space is in the hair and don’t allow the direct dyes to stain as much. Creating a softer look. *WARM water?!?!?!? Don’t you PREACH cold water only?! YES, I DO! I wanted to these colors to “bleed” together ever so slightly when I rinsed for continuity of tone. (I DO tell my clients to use cold ONLY AT HOME, I reiterate!)
.
.
It’s not just about the hair when my client leaves the salon....I want it to be a beautiful fade out until our next visit (hers will be 3 months).

Rosé all day!!
One of my all time favorite shots. Every time I see this, I fall in love all over again!

GRAPES OF WRATH 🍇
Who says you have to go lighter for spring?! .
.
Inspired by my hair wifey @deathbycouture to use only BOOSTERS to create this palette. @kenraprofessional Violet Booster with 20 vol (@trionicshaircare Actuator) with @olaplex and BLUE Booster with Actuator and Olaplex.

This is one of my favorite heads of hair to work on. My MUSE. She’s constantly pushing my creativity with her inspirational palettes 🎨, challenging my brain 🧠 and allowing me creative freedom with my vision. .
.
Sometimes our palettes are complicated, sometimes I decide to color shift, sometimes I miss the mark but still come up with something cool, and sometimes we go simple. .

I used all @joicointensity colors and of course @trionicshaircare and @olaplex.

VIOLET ROSE 🌹
Who’s ready to have an intervention with me? This metallic problem is OUT OF CONTROL!!! Damn you, @kenraprofessional for making these amazing Metallics...I just can’t freaking stop....it’s like my own “Franks hot sauce”, I put that shizzzzz on everything 😂😂😂
.
.
This is the result of combining ALL the metallics. 1/2 Rose Metallic, 1/4 Violet Metallic and 1/4 Silver Metallic and because I couldn’t leave out Bronze Metallic, I added just a dab....mixed with @trionicshaircare and @olaplex.

SWIPE TO SEE HER FADE OUT. 18 weeks....18 weeks since her last hair appt. WHEN you listen to your stylist about proper at home care, THESE 👏 COLORS 👏 LAST 👏!!!!!
.
.
Unicorn Rules according to Sarai. (1) Use ONLY cold water. (2) Use Co wash instead of shampoo (once a week). (3) @olaplex take home once a week. (4) Minimal heat styling and ALWAYS use a heat protectant (I recommend @kenraprofessional styling products)
(5) DRY SHAMPOO IS YOUR NEW BESTIE
(6) Weekly sacrifices to the Hair Gods 🙏
.
.
Finding a good stylist who invests in their education & quality products along with proper at home care from clients means everybody wins!

When it snows in April.....you get snow pics ❄️ SWIPE to see where we started! .
.
This was quite the transformation. Almost 8 hours of lightening, color, coloring and drying 80 lbs of weave, and installing said weave. Worth EVERY second because @tarawoerner was so insanely happy when she left my chair. THAT is why I do what I do. Making people look and feel good 💕

Fiery is her soul...her passion manifested in all she does...a spirit one can never tame....

I love creating “natural redheads” then taking it to the next level. Took this babe from brassy, banded blonde to VA VA VOOM, sexy redhead using @joico Lunishines with @trionicshaircare and @olaplex. .
.
This was a two step process. First step was to fill the hair and add back the missing pigments (using Demi NC and RR series from Lunishines). Second step was color melt using permanent Lumishines. I mixed 4 different formulas for this to create soft depth and dimension.
