Today is 100 years since woman gained the partial vote in the Representation of the People Act 6 February 1918.
We have set up a small exhibition to celebrate this momentous day and our volunteer Jo, who specialises in the Suffragette Movement, will be at the Palm House next to her display from 10am until 12pm to tell you more about it and answer any questions you have.
This is an informal questions and answers session. Just pop in, admission is free, have a look at our board, ask Jo anything you like or just pop in for a chat.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteer Jo who is setting up our small exhibition right now! Jo has a degree in Modern History and she specialises in Suffrage History. She will be here in the Palm House on the anniversary which is this Tuesday 6 Feb from 10am til 12pm next to her display to tell you more and answer any questions you have about the movement.
Come down and see the exhibition and meet Jo! Look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
