Where the power of photography, the beauty of coffee & tea, unite for the betterment of social change, education, and liquid illumination.
We are pleased to announce Kim Hubbard @kim_hubbard as the new curator of art, coffee and all things beautiful at the Stanmeyer Gallery & Shaker Dam Coffeehouse in West Stockbridge, MA. Kim is a former photo editor for Audubon, National Geographic and the Obama White House. In addition to her new role at Shaker Dam, she will continue to serve as the photo consultant for the National Wildlife Federation.
She and John Stanmeyer worked together on five of the “Out of Eden” stories for National Geographic, during which time John's iconic "Signal" image, winner of World Press Photo of the Year in 2013, was produced.
Kim is originally from Tennessee, where she comes from a long line of Southern bakers. She will soon be serving her grandmother’s famous pound cake in addition to the liquid illumination of Counter Culture coffee. Her handmade jewelry, also offered at Shaker Dam, features gemstones and materials she’s collected from around the world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do visit the little yellow house at 2 Main Street for a list of upcoming readings, exhibits, workshops, and events, while seeing the latest art on the walls, savoring a beautiful cup of coffee or tea, and enjoying our light food fare. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Shaker Dam is an exceptional gathering place for locals and visitors alike, and we are excited to contribute to the wonderful wonderment here in West Stockbridge!
