“Organic” free form grid quilting. For when you love someone enough to make a quilt, but not enough to actually mark a 1/2” grid.
I think I’ll work on this one next... let’s see how far I get!
The reason my design wall is empty. and I’m keeping this one, hence the maaaybe over sharing of late.
I started this two years ago, almost to the date. Right after we moved into our house I needed to sew, to keep the crazy at bay, but I couldn’t find any wips. So I dug around and came up with a bundle I won 4years ago (Best day ever by @amrosenthal won from @shabbyfabrics), and some low volumes, and just started. Went with a tutorial online (by @j_q_adams) which I then managed to butcher and make every mistake possible. It turned out muuuuch smaller than planned. So it sat.
A few weeks ago I started taking it apart to add more pieces to it, which I just kind of winged. Hence all the blank squares and the little off-grid arrows.
Now it is big enough for my giant husband. It’s 75 x 100. That’s “throw size” right? #finallyfinished#exceptforthequilting#allstashfabric#notevenadentinwippile
An empty design wall and still half a week of vacation. What’s a girl to do?
This is a fun quilt to quilt!! This corner was an accident and a lesson in measuring. but quilting can turn an accident into a feature.
Adding sprinkles to an old wip in trying to push through! I can finish the top this weekend!!!
Finished this audiobook today. Rather fitting. a pretty good listen, not stay in the car after I get to work kind of good, but definitely made the trip seem shorter. Lots of laugh out loud moments, lots of very skilled wordplay. #maythefourthbewithyou
