“I really like that it’s not so much about the place as it is about the mood,” says William Smith (@billsmith2315) of his #WHPseasonal submission. “Many times I set out to capture a certain mood rather than the place. Here it’s the beauty of the fall, its atmosphere and the connection between a father and son taking photos together.”

One of the most frequently asked questions I get these days is what’s your editing process like and are you ever going to do Lightroom presets?!? This week I’m really stoked to give you a look at how I edit photos using Adobe @lightroom CC & my own presets. 👉🏻 Swipe through for some before & afters on the edits and be sure and hit that link in my profile to download the FREE presets, read my interview on the @adobe blog & watch the video where I discuss how I edit photos #adobepartner

Photos by @ciriljazbec | Bhutan is one of the world's remaining biodiversity hotspots. Fir trees create a dense cover in this forest. Approximately 72 percent of Bhutan is covered by forests. The country's government has a mandate that 60 percent will be protected for all time. Despite the government's environmental commitment, Bhutan's glaciers are retreating and melting, causing dangerous floods and resource scarcity. Hiking amidst these trees felt almost spiritual as if I encountered the Great Forest Spirit from the fantastic Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke film. Flying at the Crossing | Photograph by Pim Volkers
“The evening before we noticed a tremendous amount of wildebeest gathering at this crossing. It had rained and they seemed pretty restless,” writes #YourShotPhotographer Pim Volkers. “We checked for the perfect spot and made sure we left very early in the morning to be in the place when the sun would come up. Fortunately, the wildebeest decided to cross when the light was absolutely perfect!”

This photo was submitted to the 2018 @natgeo Photo Contest. We are looking for images that show us the world: its wildlife, people, and places. The link is in our profile.
