Lilly-Anne was diagnosed with neuroblastoma on her 4th birthday. Within days of its discovery, she was sent to St. Jude for treatment. Though she has some tough days, when she's feeling better she loves dresses and visits from her big brother.

Jasmin and her mom are the dream team, according to Jasmin’s physician, Dr. Flerlage. During treatment for a mixed germ cell tumor, Jasmin kept up with her high school studies and a part time job. Wish Jasmin luck on her first semester of college this fall!

Five-year-old Max is a daddy's boy who loves Legos, superheroes, Paw Patrol and telling jokes with his St. Jude nurses. He's almost done with treatment for anaplastc ependymoma, a type of brain tumor.

Earlier this week, @chipgaines and @joannagaines gave the kids of St. Jude more than their time and attention. Chip surrendered his hair at the St. Jude Target House and raised $230,000 for the hospital #OperationHaircut

“Jackson has the greatest attitude,” his mom says. “Even as he prepares for his bone marrow transplant, he’s happy, he understands that this is just another step in getting him well. We’re so grateful for St. Jude. They’ve been here for us twice. We can’t imagine going through this without them.”

When Avalyn turned 3, she was inpatient at St. Jude, so her doctors and other staff threw her a birthday party at the hospital.

Kaitlyn is a vivacious and outgoing 2-year-old. She's currently undergoing treatment for rhabdomyosarcoma at St. Jude.
“At first, I was taking it hard," her mom says. “Now she’s better, so I’m better.”

Jaqwis has been playing football since he was old enough to join the peewee league. But after noticing a knot under his arm, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. “I never thought about not playing football again,” Jaqwis says. “I focused on staying in shape so I could get back.” He finished treatment in February and is back on the field playing ball.

Griffin loves Halloween candy, but candy corn tops his list. He'll have the opportunity to trick-or-treat with his friends and his twin brother in the halls of St. Jude on Halloween.

Even at 8 years old, Oliver is knowledgeable about his treatment and tells the nurses at St. Jude how different medications affect him.
“Oliver is such a good patient,” his mom says. “He’s being influenced in a positive way through all of this.”

“St. Jude is unbelievable,” Christian's dad says. “If we would’ve been anywhere else, we know that it would’ve been a much more stressful time. Here, we get to focus on Christian’s care and not have to worry about anything else.”

“She’s taught me what it’s really like to persevere,” Lilly's mom says. “She has taught me what it’s like to fight, even when you don’t feel like you can go on any further.” When Lilly came to St. Jude, she couldn't walk, talk or swallow. But now that she's completed treatment, she's back to practicing ballet and appeared in her spring recital.

When Mary Browder was a St. Jude patient four years ago, her outdoor activities were limited. But she could hit a golf ball, and learned she could do it well. Mary Browder focused on her short game of chipping and putting, limited by the PICC line in her arm. After treatment, she could get back to hitting a full swing. “That snowballed into this and being where I am today,” she said. Mary Browder recently took third place in her regional high school golf tournament and this month played with her team to take seventh place in the state.

“Everything that was familiar and normal, all that just went to the wayside,” Macy's mom says. “We have a wonderful support system, but you get a diagnosis and you have to be separated from what you once knew because your priorities change.”

Though Alyric faces a serious diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukemia, her cheerful heart remains unchanged. “It doesn’t really affect her,” her mom says. “Just to look at her, you couldn’t tell anything was wrong. She likes to laugh and have fun and jump around.”

Every time Bella's parents tell her they're going to St. Jude, she jumps for joy. She was diagnosed with retinoblastoma in 2014, but this past summer, she received clear scans. When she grows up, Bella wants to be a doctor at St. Jude.

St. Jude patient Dakota had some fun with his hair before it began to fall out, coloring it in rainbow shades. Inspired, he then designed “crazy cuts” for his dad and his dad’s friend, who agreed to wear them for a month to raise money for St. Jude. Dakota’s designs ended up raising more than $10,000 for the kids of St. Jude.

Hannah wants to be a doctor when she grows up, just the like doctors at St. Jude who have saved her life not once, but twice. Hannah recently received a second haploidentical transplant to combat her chemotherapy-resistant leukemia, and just a few weeks ago, she turned 4 years old.

Sebastian never lost sight of his dream to be a soccer player, even when being treated for brain cancer. Now, he's finished with treatment and playing soccer again!

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital opened its doors on Feb. 4, 1962. Since then, we’ve made incredible strides in childhood cancer research based on Danny Thomas's dream that "no child should die in the dawn of life."
