Getting up and going is hard work, especially if it’s an early start before a hectic day at work or after a crazy day when all you want to do is grab some food and head to bed. As I have said before, being accountable is often the missing part of the puzzle to ensure you get up and hit those goals.

As well as a coach keeping you in check, having a gym buddy / buddies goes a long way to making sure you stick to what you say you will. Schedule workouts in advance and stick to them. Letting other people down makes you more likely to stick to your commitments until habits are formed and it just becomes part of your life. If your gym buddy doesn't follow the same schedule as you - get a few!

As you probably know by now I am a huge Halo Top fan (and OMG - the new red velvet, birthday cake and toasted coconut flavours are INSANE!) so, branching out was a big step for me! However, Breyers are offering up some seriously good competition and are now stocked in most big UK supermarkets. The mint chip is one to be reckoned with at only 340kcal PER TUB and 20g protein and these are generally at a more competitive price point than Halo Top in the UK atm - winning 🙌

Ridiculously quick and easy but super calorie saving versus buying it already prepped or using a ready made jar of sauce. Great with a jacket potato and veg or even just pasta and some spinach - one for tonight?

Ingredients (2 servings)
400g frozen cod fillets
1 1/2 tins chopped tomatoes
2 red peppers
Handful of pine nuts
salt, pepper, basil, tbsp tomato puree, tbsp cornflour
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Method
Doesn’t really need to much explaining…..whack all together in an oven proof dish and cook for 30 – 35 minutes on around 180 degrees C. Enjoy!

The focus here was to lose fat but maintain muscle and size to reveal a lean athletic physique and balance this alongside a hectic work / social life involving lots of travel. Super happy with this clients dedication and hard work over 12 weeks. He is down 5kgs and has lost 4cm off his waist all whilst still enjoying the food and drinks he loves.
