Well, you have to have one after all. Why not jazz it up a bit?
We've added a little extra spice and touch of bourbon to give this traditional treat a little extra flair.
Bourbon Spice Pumpkin Pie
1 can of pumpkin
3/4 cup of date syrup
1/2 cup of milk
1 tsp fresh nutmeg
1 tsp of cloves
1 tsp of ginger
1 TBSP of cinnamon
1 TBSP of bourbon
2 TBSP cornstarch (or other thickener like tapioca or arrowroot powder)
Combine all ingredients with a whisk and pour into a pre-baked pie crust.
Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes. Filling will be set when the center is slightly jiggling.
Drizzle slightly with Date Lady Date or Coconut Caramel for a deliciously spunky finish.
BONUS HINT: Add some fresh whipped topping! Use a TB of Date Syrup or Date Lady Caramel to fresh whipping cream or coconut cream instead of sugar!

In the Middle East, Arabic coffee and dates are a daily ritual. We can certainly see the attraction. Dates and coffee, both rich in antioxidants and minerals, have a certain depth that marry together beautifully.
This cake, sweetened with date sugar and date syrup, was made by our resident cake boss, Meredith, who also handles customer service, takes orders from retail stores, manufacturers, restaurants and many others. If you’ve ever called into Date Lady, you’ve probably talked to her! We are blessed to have incredibly talented people on our crew who also love working with our customers!
You’re starting to think about Thanksgiving aren’t you? Ready to try your hand at some new pies? We are!! And what is the ultimate whole food sweetener for baking? Why date sugar of course! The process to get to this sweetener is about as simple as it gets; dry the dates, grind them up. Although date sugar does not dissolve well in liquids (because of the fiber), it adds a gentle and delightful sweetness to baked goods. (Girls pictured have handled an awful lot of date sugar in the past couple o’ years bless their sweet hearts!)
It’s an overcast day with a slight chill in the air here in the Ozarks and it’s got us wanting to cuddle up with warm drinks and one of our favorite childhood cookies. The no-bake. The vegan and white sugar free no-bake cookie recipe below is equal in deliciousness to the original. Based off a recipe from @drjoshaxe:
2–1/2 cups gluten-free quick oats
1 cup unsweetened, flaked coconut
2/3 cup date syrup
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 cup peanut butter (almond butter works)
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
6 tablespoons cocoa
optional - sea salt to sprinkle on top
In a medium pot over medium heat, combine the date syrup, coconut oil and peanut butter and stir until the mixture is melted and mixed evenly. Remove from heat and add the oats and coconut flakes, stirring continuously. Add the vanilla extract and cocoa powder and continue stirring until mixture becomes thick. Drop heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto wax paper. Lightly sprinkle sea salt on top of each cookie. Place the cookie sheets in the freezer for at least 20 minutes to set, then serve or transfer to fridge until you’re ready to enjoy.

Can you guess what fruit these are?
If you guessed dates - you're right! This is what a Date Lady Date looks like before turning brown on the tree. Unlike most most date cultivars, these dates can actually be enjoyed in the yellow stage with a flavor kind of likened to a small apple. These are popular at the beginning of the date harvest in certain cultures. If you leave them on the tree, they will turn brown, our favorite way to enjoy them!
