First two games of #tapestry by @jameystegmaier: Won one and lost one. I REALLY liked and enjoyed this game! 🙂 • Pros: - Quick setup - Easy-to-learn and streamlined rules - Beautiful art, great components and oohh those landmark buildings 😍 - High replayability • Cons: - High dependence on civ + tapestry cards combos (if you get the right combo, you definitely have higher chances of winning) - Big table required - Thematically incongruent (you can invent zeppelins before inventing nails or you develop virtual reality by developing a military career) • I have only played two games, but I would recommend this game. It's fun, easy to learn and hard to master, and it has crazy thematic twists that are fun to experience. • I found myself equally laughing about some situations as well as heavily thinking about what would my optimal next move be 🙂 • What are your thoughts? Have you played it?
First time playing Tiny Epic Zombies by @gamelyngames and all objectives completed! It was fun. • Pros: - Portable, yet requires a table - Fun - Thematic, very nice art/graphic design - ITEMeeples! • Cons: - Long setup time for such a small game - Incomplete tokens (missing a C ingredient token) - Poor quality stickers on the zombies (cracking up and falling apart) • Overall it is a fun and entertaining little game, but the production quality could have been better
And so we lost our first attempt at lifting the curse... This game is amazing! It takes looong time, but it's worth it! 🙂 • Pros: - Highly thematic, high replayability, immersive, nice cooperative game • Cons: - Merciless, long reboxing time after finishing the game, big table required
Simurgh was my last played game before leaving #lincon2019. It is a fun worker placement game with a theme of dragons. I liked it 🙂 • Pros: -Relatively quick setup, nice art and components, you raise dragons! Cons: -The two end game triggers don't seem to be well interconnected, so either you win quickly after 5 goals or it takes forever with the tiles in the wilds • #tabletopgames#boardgames#simurgh#dragons#tiles#lincon2019#weevilapproves
This is another game I've been wanting to try since long ago, Village. I got my chance yesterday and I have mixed feelings, but it was fun to play! 🙂 • Pros: -Highly thematic, high replayability, beautiful artwork Cons: -Worker placement twist with the cube drafting (to me, a worker placement game is where I put my worker and apply the action, not grabbing a cube then placing a worker 🤔) • I would definitely recommend it to try, but I wouldn't get it. It's a different twist on worker placement games mixed with a great thematic mechanic (time management) • #tabletopgames#boardgames#village#villageboardgame#lincon2019#fun
