Family- Lycaenidae

This is a brilliant metallic blue color upperwing bearing butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. As this picture implies to you, they have a habit of rubbing wings together while they are resting in a place. They can be found throughout the island. Few weeks ago, they have a unprecedented population increasement. Their larval feeding plants are "Magul karanda"(Pongamia pinnata), Derris spp., green-gram(Vigna radiate), Gliricidia sepium, Pueraria phaseoloides and most of other plants in family Fabaceae.
