#tbt to the one time I got to meet the one and only, Mr. E-40 Fonzrelli. Growing up in the Bay in the early 90’s, this Guy was one of my favorites. Everybody knew who he was. And if you didn’t, you really weren’t from the Bay LOL His voice was unique and Most of the time I couldn’t understand him rap because he’s so fast 😆 (it’s a thing with me and not understanding lyrics, I have been singing songs, wrong since I can remember) but he spoke like we did in the Bay. I knew about streets and cities he’d mention on his songs. I actually thought he was known world-wide but he was like an underground Bay Area rapper back when. Of course now he’s world-wide and he’s still repping the Bay . . .
This time, I was in the family room of the SF Giants meeting with clients when in comes E40 with a couple of friends or family members. I was star struck!!! But I was trying to play it cool 😂 he asked where the bathroom was and I pointed it out to him. While he was in there, I was telling myself, “Denice, don’t be shy, just ask for a picture, or you’ll regret it.” I knew if I didn’t get a pic, i would probably never see him again in such a private setting. So, I mustered up the courage to ask his friend if he’d think E40 would be alright with a picture. He smiled and said, “yes.” 😅 So we waited for him to come out and his friend asked him. He was so gracious and said yes! So here I am, throwing up that ✌🏾sign with Mr 40-Water!! And I have to say, he looks the same as he did when I first started listening to him in the early 90’s!! @e40 Have you ever had one of these moments? What did you do? 📸 @thecrazybarber . . . . . . #e40#bayarea#yayarea#sf#sfbayarea#photooftheday#instablogger#latinablogger#music#sfgiants#90smusic#hiphop#whodis#sanfrancisco#bayareablogger#sacramentoblogger#peace#instafashion#instastyle
Hey guys, did you hear? @thebank629j is now open! This place is interesting! It was a former bank that has been renovated to be a fun place to meet your friends, everyone picks out what they want to eat (glorified food court) and then pick a place to sit and chill!! The downstairs is where the Bank vault is and it’s been turned into the most coveted “man’s cave” with what looks like 100’s of beer taps at your fingertips! I got to preview it right before they opened to the public and I’m already looking forward to coming back with my peeps!
