The mysterious 🦄 of the ocean..

I’ve been overwhelmed with the response from ‘NORWAY’ my latest film with @whalesunderwater. Literally hundreds of messages came in.. to which I’ve replied to most.. thank you! Often personal projects can become a little sentimental and precious to us creatives, to the point that you become unsure how others, or if others will enjoy it. But I think in the end if you create something out of the vision of your heart and soul, it’s going to have an energy that moves people. The core of this project came from a deep place, (no pun intended 😅) and I’m so glad it resonated with so many and will with so many more. Like most of my projects it was made with the intention of giving people an experience, especially those that may not be able to experience it in person. The first person I showed was my Mum and she loved it, so essentially that’s the job done right there, but to be able to share it with you all, and have you all share it with your loved ones, is a special thing indeed. Orcas aren’t a ‘new’ thing by any means, but the power to inspire others is in story telling.. it always will be. So, go have an experience and write your own story.. To the King of the Sea.. oh how your mysterious wonder, royalty and impeccable design will forever fascinate me! Thank you for granting us a moment with you.. 💙

🔊 on.. “Travelling to the Arctic in winter.. it may seem like madness.. “ As promised, I’m excited to share my latest short film with you..
N O R W A Y with @WhalesUnderwater. It has been a dream of mine to meet the King of the Sea for a lifetime.. however I had some concerns about how I’d cope in the Arctic waters. But you know, the thing with opportunities, is although they are somewhat created by our decisions, they still don’t last forever, sometimes you just need to follow your heart down that wild and uncertain path and pursue your dreams while you still have the breath to do so. I’ve always said that you find yourself in the pursuit, you find out what your capable of and in the process you end up living your best life.. it took an immense amount of resource to make this film, both mentally, physically and financially. Somehow, I managed to press record a few times with my trembling and numb fingers and have recreated what the Norway experience was like for me. I know the internet is full of great videos and content these days, to the point that I actually find it increasingly difficult to put out new work, especially when I’m working mostly alone, and with little to no budget. Regardless of circumstances though, and with the help of @DarrenJew, @pxlexplorer, @AliTakau and the @WhalesUnderwater team in Norway, we managed to create a visual experience for those that may not necessarily be able to go there physically, and a little inspirational invite for those that can.. watch the trailer, and click the link in my bio or story for the article, imagery and throw in the earphones to be immersed in the full 9 minute film.. 🎧 Enjoy my friends! Made with @manfrottoimaginemore 🤗

I’ve been a little quiet on here, for 2 reasons, one; I’ve been spending quality time with my friends and family.. which is 🤗 and two; I’ve been busy putting together a documentary film of my trip to Norway, where I finally got to swim with the King of the sea.. 👑🌊 Here’s a very small snippet of some of the magic that we experienced.. with @whalesunderwater // Stay Tuned ☺️

Hey you! Just want to take a moment and say thank you for your support and all the love you’ve given my photography/filmmaking passion in 2018. What a year it was.. I spent more than half of it away from home, a good stint of that being in the west with mighty @mattblakersphoto #ChasingSlabsAgain who managed to sneak one of his shots in there! 😂 clearly my first love (besides Jesus) is waves.. then you’d assume either orcas or the moon.. 🤔 but what I love most is sharing stories, and insights that widen eyes, open hearts, inspire minds and strengthen spirits. You need a source to have a continual output, and it’s no doubt that sweet Jesus is indeed my wellspring in whom I have to thank and acknowledge for each one of these moments. Big shout out to DJ @darrenjew and @pxlexplorer for the adventures that they created for me that were more amazing than I could ever describe! Big thank you to @manfrottoimaginemore for the support and the inspired adventures into the mountains.. and @aquatech_imagingsolutions for getting me in the water! I look forward to a new year anticipating new and exciting wonders, experiences and challenges of life! #2018bestnine #BringOn2019

“From all the treasures on earth, that we manage to gain,
When fire tests its worth, how much gold will remain..” an image and excerpt from #LivingWaterBook called ‘Life’. I wrote this book for everyone, but the people that are searching for meaning in life, will get the most out of it.. I’ve loved the feedback and testimonies I’ve heard from it and can’t wait to share what’s coming next #2019..

When we eventually find true beauty, how do we even recognise it..? I don’t have the entire answer to that, but one thing I do feel about it though, is that it’s recognised with the heart, not the head.. which reminds me of something that a dude called Isaiah once said about JC - ‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’
It honestly makes me really wonder, if we could stare God in the face, and not even recognise Him. Just a thought.. I really like the way the light is hitting this wave 🤗🌊✨

“In him was life, and that life was the LIGHT of all mankind.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:4‬. Christmas can be a chaotic time of year for many, the amount of things we need to do, and need to organise.. family coming together is more often than not, a troubling thing rather than a joyous occasion. We rush around each other making sure we have everything that we need.. Yet, in the midst of it all, I encourage you to take moment and reflect on the reason for the season.. it’s not presents, santa, food, holidays or even family, it’s about Jesus. And if he didn’t come, there would be no celebrations happening at all.. oh how life can become so busy, we can forget the purpose of life. Wishing you all light, love and joy for the season ✨🤗 Music by @jason_upton 🙌🏼

One of the amazing things about photography is that it refreshes memories. I have very special memories from moments like this, and then I have photographs that bring back the details of those memories. Being able to have a moment and also capture a moment is a special thing.. I’ve been going through my collections for a special project I’m working on and there’s so many shots like this I’ve never even shared on here but they take me right back to swimming in the wake of it all 🥰

It’s been said that ‘our eyes are the window to our soul’, everything they see has an impact on who we are.. I’m so blessed to have seen some of the things that I’ve seen.. 🥰 #memories
