Hi! This is @elysekopecky, cookbook author from Bend, sharing the adventures from our very first mother-daughter trip to Portland with you. This was a special weekend for my 4-year-old since she got to leave her baby brother behind. To her, Portland is a very big city and she experienced many firsts. On our drive home she proclaimed, “Mommy, I want to live in a hotel in Portland with you forever.” I think getting to eat bacon in bed probably sealed the deal for her. Or maybe it was shopping at @powellsbooks, exploring the @portlandfarmers, brunch @tastynalder, ice cream at @saltandstraw, adventures at @OMSI, the carousel at @oregonzoo ZooLights, seeing our friend @shalaneflanagan, and cozy moments at @hotel_deluxe. We hope to keep this tradition going with a festive getaway to Portland every December! Follow along on @TravelOregon's Instagram Story to see some of these these lifelong memories.
Hello! @darcybacha here. I’ve been a resident of Mount Hood Village for the past 13 years. I’m fortunate enough to have a job shooting snowboard and ski photos all over the world, but what I enjoy most is being home in Oregon and photographing the ever-changing landscapes, especially all the features that make Mt. Hood unique. I can honestly say Mt. Hood and the Gorge have shaped me into the photographer I am today. Follow along on the @traveloregon Instagram Story as I take a loop around the mountain from sun-up to sun-down, sharing my favorite spots along the way... well at least some of them. ;)
