HOT WEATHER DOG TREATS Keeping your doggy cool in hot weather is so important - and we want them to enjoy the sunshine without over heating!
Make sure your dog has plenty of access to fresh water, never leaving your dog in a hot car - even with the windows down - and ensuring that the pavement is not too hot and going to burn their paws (If you can't keep your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds then it's too hot!)... Here are a few simple recipes for some frozen doggy treats to help keep them cool!... Doggy safe peanut butter (no xylitol), mashed ripe banana and a splash of water - stir together and freeze in ice cube tray! Dip strawberry halves in some plain Greek yogurt or kefir - place on a sheet of baking paper and freeze. Mashed pumpkin or butternut squash with some plain Greek yogurt/kefir, honey and a dash of water - blend and freeze in ice cube tray. Two apples (minus core and seeds) blended with plain Greek yogurt/kefir and a dash of water - freeze in ice cube tray. Watermelon (no seeds) blended with coconut milk or coconut water, honey and a dash of water. Freeze in ice cube tray. #hotdogs#hotweather#sunshine#dogsofinstagram#dogsofinstagram#instadog#dogstagram#canineenrichment#dogshavingfun#keepcool
