Tweedsmuir Park Lodge@tweedsmuirparklodge

Small group Wildlife & Grizzly Bear tours in The Great Bear Rainforest. A @magnificent7lodges of Canada. 1 of CNN Travel's 'BC's Best luxury lodges'.

Our new ball caps have arrived at our Whistler head office! They look great eh? We’ll send them up to the lodge shortly. Email if you’d like to buy one.

Peek-a-boo! It may seem like photographer @ericpoulin was quite close to this grizzly bear, however, our guide was keeping him at a safe viewing distance and Eric was using a good lens. Would you like to join us for some wildlife viewing in the Great Bear Rainforest? Drop us a line via our contact page at

Even though our name is Tweedsmuir Park ‘Lodge’, guests actually get to stay in private chalets, right on the forest edge in the Great Bear Rainforest. And just metres from the Atnarko River. Does anyone know what the flowers are in the foreground?

Yahoo! We get a brief mention in @aircanada‘s magazine with a few other awesome wilderness lodges in @hellobc British Columbia and @explorecanada (including @churchillwildsafaris, our partners in @magnificent7lodges ). Attention solo female travellers! Would you like to come grizzly bear viewing, but want to avoid paying for a 2nd spot? Well, we have an exciting opportunity to share a chalet on a Photography Workshop, right in the most PRIME grizzly bear viewing season! The tour leader is @suefloodphotography, a professional wildlife photographer and associate producer of the BBC’s The Blue Planet!

The dates are Sept 8-14 for 6 nights. You can find all the details at this website:

You would share with a mature woman. There is a Queen bed on the ground level, and a Double bed in the upstairs loft. Shared bathroom. And of course, by sharing you will not have to purchase a second seat!

Last year we received great feedback about this workshop. If this trip is of interest to you, please contact the friendly team at @steppes_travel (not us) ASAP! Note: Steppes Travel is located in the UK, however, you are still able to join them even if you live elsewhere.

If you are interested in visiting us, but not for the workshop, and want to come with another person(s), we have the following availability (note: there might be some new dates available since you inquired due to cancellations);
Aug 23-27 for 4 nights

We love this recent post and photo by @bednarphoto who stayed with us this past October: "I think the best Christmas gift I received this year was the one that came early from the BC government banning grizzly bear hunting throughout the province. Thanks Santa!” We couldn’t agree more!
