“The future of glaciers is in our hands” by @arturabramiv - one of 25 photographers selected by @natgeo for their PhotoFest Awards under the slogan “A Planet in Balance". Glacier in the picture is Foglefonna - Norway’s third largest glacier. Here is Artur’s story behind the picture: “Glaciers are unstable matter. They are unique and constantly changing. Now the balance on the planet is in human hands. This photo is very symbolic as we humans are so small in front of this giant glaciers but the future of all glaciers on the planet is in our hands!” This photo will be presented by National Geographic and PhotoFest which is one of the largest and well known international photo festivals in the world. The exhibition will be held on November 7-10, 2019 in San Miguel de Allende in the downtown Plaza Civica, Mexico - the cultural capital of South America. The purpose of this photo festival is to show the international audience the importance of protecting our planet !
It is time a for ghost story 👻Experienced and told by @heartmybackpack ・・・ The other night I walked home from my dance class through a thick mist, and I remember thinking it felt like some enchantment had descended on Mosjøen. And then the mist dispersed and I saw the northern lights shining overhead! I kept staring at the lights so much that I managed to get totally lost, reorient myself, and get lost again, over and over (in this tiny town!) until the fifteen minute walk home turned into an hour wander, like someone really had put a spell on me.
I took a photo of the sky that night and after adding these bats I was going to add in a ghost to complete the Halloween vibes, but then I zoomed in on the hut and realized... there's already a ghost? I thought it must be my shadow, except where's my tripod? Too spooky, I'm not going out alone at night until Halloween is 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳.

The ships of the Vikings enabled them to travel widely on their expeditions. «Go Viking" and be inspired by the Vikings when you travel to Fjord Norway. There’s always a suitable means of transport for reaching your destination. The Flåm Railway, or Flåmsbana, may be one of the most scenic and beautiful train rides in the world 📸 Kristine Fredheim / @gofjords [ @fjordnorway takeover]
