What a great day this was. We didn’t go 400 yards off the shore line of one of the Exuma’s and found hungry Dolphin, Dorado, Mahi-Mahi whatever you like to call them. We caught a lot fish on this boat over a couple months time, hanging out around Highborne Cay and some of the other islands. A ton of wahoo, Tuna, and Dorado and I have one set of pictures to show for it all. That’s because this boy was mine (most all of them were “mine” as first mate anyway, you take their Bloody Mary and hand the rod off to them after you hook up, which is fine. I enjoyed it that way.) This day was crazy. As soon as the balyhoo hit the water a Dorado was screaming toward it. All rods hooked up, one left, I flip a bait out and this bull hammers it. I like tuna, I really like wahoo, but I love a big bull Dorado. I’ll take him over a Sailfish any day.
I can’t imagine putting 18-21 year old kids in these airplanes and sending them up to fight. Being a pilot myself, I can imagine the jump in horsepower from the cub to the trainer to the P-51 had to be giant steps!!! This is Bob Hoover’s Old P-51 Mustang “Old Yeller”. I got a private viewing of the plane, through a friend of mine. These old WW2 warbirds are rare. A fully restored, operational pristine machine like this is incredible to see. #p51mustang#p51#ww2#wwii#airplane#warbird#warbirds#fighter#fighters#prop#worldwar2#mustang
