This gal, Beaker, is feeling like a new pup! This is only her second acupuncture treatment and she is already so much stronger! At her first visit, Jeanetta had to hold her up the entire time we placed the needles, today, she stood the whole time all by herself without shaking. Her mom said she barked when she pulled into our parking lot, so she’s already associating the positive effects of her treatment!! We are looking forward to seeing this gal reverse aging!! #healthypups#veterinaryacupuncture#holisticvet
I’m standing at the cash register at pet supermarket when I look down at their 2018 calendars thinking, gosh those Bassett’s look just like Tessa and McGee! Well, what do you know? It was Tessa and McGee on the front page of the calendar! They were the only ones representing our state! Way to go cutie pies!!! #healthypups#petsupermarket
We love our tripods!!! Angel sees us every Saturday for acupuncture. It never fails, after our treatment when we take the needles out, a huge smile comes across her face! We use acupuncture to improve strength, nerve conduction and relieve muscle tension- no wonder these tripods smile! #veterinaryacupuncture#tcvm#healthypups#holisticvet
Koda is enjoying some beach time this week. His mom said he’s feeling so much better after his acupuncture treatment. You would never know this precious boy has T cell lymphoma! He takes chemotherapy medication regularly, so we use acupuncture to keep his lymphatics and energy meridians open so his body will not deteriorate from those medications. A new puppy was recently added to his family so he’s been struggling with some depression. While acupuncture helps with that as well, we added a homeopathic formula to calm his heart. He looks pretty darn happy to me!!!
We love it when we get to push our patients’ follow ups further out because they are doing so well. This little gal Lola has had some strange presentations- she’s battled anemia without an underlying cause. In TCM, we call this blood deficiency and it can occur due to imbalances of the spleen, liver and kidney. Since Lola had a bout with vomiting in December, we started treating her for spleen qi deficiency along with blood deficiency. We really saw a big improvement when her mom stopped feeding her prescription food and started cooking for her. It’s amazing what fresh food can do for the body. The best medicine for spleen qi deficiency and blood deficiency is good ‘ol home cooking! We are so thankful to have clients who enjoy cooking for their pets. It makes our job so much easier! #healthypups#homecookedpetfood#truthaboutpetcancer#truthaboutpetfood#veterinaryacupuncture
Check out this beauty,Sunny Bee! She just turned 8 months old and we’ve been seeing her since her 10 week puppy visit. We love watching our pups mature into adults with healthy immune systems. Sunny Bee’s family lost their last Corgie to cancer so they wanted to shift gears and do things differently with Sunny Bee. We started with a bioscan to detect some of her genetic weaknesses (which are very common in high blood lines) before they became an issue. Sunny Bee was smooth sailing until she contracted giardia at a day care facility so we have been working to help her clear this irritating parasite. While this parasite is very common in pups, it can be extremely hard to clear. Most conventional vets treat with multiple rounds of antibiotics and anti-parasiticides. This will set the pup up for years of gut repair due to the consequences of leaky gut which most often lead to chronic allergies both seasonal and food. We do things a little differently. We strengthen the gut and the immune system with acupuncture, herbs and diet and use natural remedies to clear the parasite gently. We have only ever had success doing the treatment this way. If the parasite doesn’t clear as quickly as we’d like, we know we should strengthen the gut immunity even more. This way we can work WITH our patient and not against them. We love holistic medicine and so do our pups! #healthypups#veterinaryacupuncture#veterinarychinesemedicine#holisticvet#holisticvetcare
We love it when we make our seniors smile! This is only Frankie’s second acupuncture treatment but he’s already feeling so much stronger. Frankie is 17 and when his mom acquired one of our vouchers from an auction she thought she would try it out. Seeing Frankie come into our office the second time was like seeing a new dog - it’s amazing what the vibrancy of chi can do! We are hoping to see Frankie reverse aging even more!
Django is excited to be feeling more like himself!! This sweet boy was diagnosed with epilepsy a couple years ago and has been on some heavy drugs ever since. Sadly, he would still have breakthrough seizures. In TCM, we treat seizures by moving phlegm and nourishing the liver. Since we’ve started treating him, he’s only had one small seizure and is now able to play normally with his family and friends without being too exhausted. Our goal will be to wean him to the lowest effective dose of his medications while aiming to get him off phenobarbital completely! We love making pups feel better!
Poncho chillin in Hannah’s ride... I guess he’s seeing some benefit to getting older...
Sophie is so excited to have her antibody titers over blind vaccination. Today she only needs a single parvo vaccine. She is growing so well and we are thankful to be a part of her journey!! She has some really big shoes to fill!
Bella is doing so well!!! She is another young pup that is getting on the road to wellness early! You know, puppies and babies should be the healthiest of all, but our medical system has made it common practice to injection harmful chemicals into their bodies with undeveloped immune systems. When this happens, the immune system goes haywire and all sorts of allergies develop- ear infections, skin infections and food allergies. Bella came to see us for the above. She had been on Trifexis and Apoquel before she was even a year old. We tested her for food allergies, did a bioscan and have been rebalancing her with acupuncture, supplements and a ketogenic diet. Our results= Bella is a new dog!! The best part- this is just the beginning. Bella’s mom is learning all about holistic health and getting started now will set the course for her life. This makes us overjoyed! #healthypups#veterinaryacupuncture#veterinarychinesemedicine#petfooled
Maggie is excited to hear she only needed 1 puppy vaccine! Her titers were excellent and so is he immune system! Maggie is a good typical fire puppy. We talked to her mom about the importance of feeding cooling and neutral foods to help keep her calm and she says the results are amazing! If Maggie accidentally gets a “yang” food or treat, she goes a little wild. Can you imagine what our world would be like if parents fed their children according to the laws of Food Therapy?? #healthypups#vaccicheck#holisticvetcare#holisticnutrition
